This policy explains when you can get a refund on a Kaarya paid plan, and how cancellations work. It applies alongside our Terms of Service.
1. 7-day first-purchase refund
If you purchase a Pro or Studio plan for the first time and change your mind within 7 days, you are eligible for a full refund — provided you have not:
- Generated any paid-tier Kaarya Map during that period, or
- Used the AI Mentor chat (beyond the free allowance), or
- Exported, downloaded, or shared any paid-tier content
This reflects the nature of AI-generated digital products: once the map has been produced, the compute cost has been incurred and the value delivered.
2. Subscription renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically. If you don’t want to be charged for the next cycle, cancel from Settings before the renewal date. You’ll retain access until the end of your current billing period.
Renewed subscriptions are not eligible for refunds. You are responsible for cancelling in time.
3. How to request a refund
Email billing@kaarya.app from the email address on your Kaarya account, with:
- Your Dodo Payments payment ID or subscription ID
- The date of purchase
- A brief reason (optional, but helps us improve)
We respond within 3 business days. Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method within 7–10 business days (bank timelines vary).
4. Exceptions
We may issue a refund outside the usual window if:
- You were charged due to a duplicate payment or technical error
- The service was completely unavailable for an extended period due to our fault
- A fraudulent charge occurred on your card (report it to your bank first)
5. What is not refundable
- Any subscription cycle in which you generated a paid-tier map or used paid AI chat
- Renewals you forgot to cancel
- Free-tier usage (there’s nothing to refund)
- Chargebacks initiated without contacting us first — we reserve the right to dispute these and may suspend the account
6. Cancellation (without refund)
You can cancel a subscription any time from Settings. Cancellation stops future renewals. Your paid features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
7. Account deletion
Deleting your account cancels any active subscription. You can delete from Settings. Refunds are not automatic on deletion — if you’re eligible under section 1, request one before deleting.
